Happy Wednesday!

It is such a crucial time to continue taking care of ourselves and we should feel fortunate when we are healthy but we should also be doing all the right things to keep ourselves healthy and to better benefit our immune system. Maybe sometimes I sound like a broken record but our health should matter always but sometimes it takes something to get you into that mindset of conquering goals and making better choices.

If you’re thinking of changing your lifestyle to become healthier. Don’t wait, stop waiting. Change now. Don’t wait for a “diet” or a “program” kicking off on a Sunday or Monday. Following certain “diets” or programs will work but ONLY if it’s something you can sustain long term or if you can do the program and then decide that, that is the lifestyle you are going to stick with. That’s why I like to use a consistent, realistic and sustainable approach! Meaning? Make mostly good food choices, if there’s certain foods that are triggers, meaning if you can’t just have a slice or a piece of something without eating too much, then take it out until you can find that control. Sometimes, my clients find that they don’t actually need the sweets anymore once you are giving your body all the right nutrients it needs and if they do, they only have the portion and they are satisfied.

Also, another suggestion I always make is, if you are absolutely craving something and know that’s what you want. 9/10 the end result is we try and fill the void with a lot of other options and you end up over eating. I always say, if you have the control to have a small bag of chips or one slice of cheesecake, HAVE that. Don’t buy a huge bag of chips or a whole cheesecake. But have that if that’s what you want. But, if you know you have a piece of something and it will start you on a spiral of bad choices, don’t do it. Fill your body with the healthier options. Don’t let yourself get extremely hungry and stick to a plan/lifestyle that works for you. I’m sure you have heard calories are calories, and yes they are but it really matters what you are putting in your body. We don’t need 100’s of complex carbohydrates and sugar, we don’t need inflammatory foods and we most definitely don’t need processed foods. If you need guidance or a meal plan suggestion for whole food and better options, get in touch. I have plans readily available to make sure you are doing all things necessary to keep your health in check. Also, great Christmas presents to others or yourself this year are initial consultations with a health/wellness professional, food sensitivity tests, and more. If you are in need of gift ideas from food options, wellness plans, nutrition plans, skincare regimens, (clean and safe) get in touch, I can help and lead you in the right direction!

We are in the last month of 2020. Let’s hope 2021 isn’t as much of a rollercoaster. It’s a great time to write down goals. Health/Wellness related but also financial, routine goals and anything else to get you on the right track. Planning helps to get you on track. I use a planner to list my most important tasks to complete, I have my weekly appointments and clients planned out. It really keeps me in check and of course there’s always room to make changes but it’s nice to stick to somewhat of a schedule.

I am so excited as well! I kicked of Sunday virtual workouts. It’s a zoom workout and it’s been so fun. Cost is $10/class or $85 for a 10 class pass(Paid in Full) for a savings of $15! It’s for all fitness levels as I always show options and doesn’t require equipment, only optional. If you’re interested, send me a message and I’d love to get you in! It’s been a really great way to kick off Sunday and to go into Monday with a positive mindset and energy!

Stay healthy!

Staying on track before the Holidays//Ketones//Skin Health//Your Goals//Be your best version//

As the Holiday season approaches, some people decide they will wait until the New Year to make a change to lead a healthier lifestyle. My biggest advice to people is start right away. Don’t wait until a Sunday or Monday. Start when you can, because you have opportunities to make changes daily.

Leading up to Thanksgiving I always promote the Keto Reboot(do not have to eat a Keto diet to do this) because it resets your metabolism and helps aid with the cravings that are present with the Holiday season. As always, I’m not saying to not have any at all because you can have that one piece of pie or have a bigger plate of food but it’s all about how you prepare before and after Thanksgiving that is going to be the end result of success. Why not be healthier before the New Year? 2020 has been interesting, why not go for some goals before 2021 kicks off. Here is the science on the reboot and the page to order or I do have some in stock to ship or drop off if you’re interested in giving it a try. If the 60 hour fast (reboot) doesn’t seem feasible for you, there is another great option. The 10 day drink ketones challenge. What is it? You drink 2 packets of ketones a day (one in the morning, one mid afternoon to evening) and eat balanced and healthy meals through the day. Check out more information here. You also get a complete daily guide to follow which makes the approach so feasible. These supplements not only aid with fat loss but also aid with mental clarity, reduce cravings and taste great!

I want to say too, it’s so important that we make healthy choices on what we put in our mouths but it’s also crucial to be aware of what we’re putting on our skin as well. I’ve always opted for more natural products but sometimes didn’t pay close enough attention to what I was using. I recently started using more skincare products for my face as well and had ordered some things in the past but decided it was time to really step up my skin care game and with winter approaching I’m excited to see the difference with these products. I have followed Beauty Counter very closely and decided to become a consultant because well for one, I need the skin care products and also because it goes hand in hand with what I do. Fitness, nutrition, supplements is what I’ve really honed in on but it was time for me to really get serious and make a choice on what I’m putting on my skin. There are so many options to choose from but I am using the product line Countermatch and I am loving it. I also have samples of it and if you’re interested in trying it for yourself, message me, I’ll send or drop off a sample pack! Check out the site by clicking here. Below you will find the NEVER LIST of ingredients that should not be in your products.. Being more aware with these ingredients is crucial.

I hope everyone is doing well and I always like to remind everyone that all of our wellness journeys are different. There is not a one size fit approach and especially to all my women followers and moms, DO NOT compare yourself to others. You are capable of reaching your goals and they are just that, they are YOUR goals. It’s great to have inspiration but your journey is still your journey. As always, I’m here for support and guidance. Let’s shoot for some goals to finish off 2020!!

Challenges//Handling Stress//Daily Gratitude//Positive Energy//

Life is a journey, life is a process. It’s not always easy but it’s what we make of it in the process.

I’ve been challenged more in 2020 than I ever have been. But it’s always about how you choose to get back up and conquer your goals or just anything in general.

This week on a run I was thinking about how crazy it has been to be through such a whirlwind of what we can and cannot do on a daily basis. The unknowns have been the most evident stressors for a lot of us. I just remind myself daily that we have to try and stay on the course as best as possible. Things we are in control of. For me that is always getting back to what works. For me, what works is; I wake up a little before the kids, but first coffee 😉 And then I take my daily gratitude journal and write down what I am thankful for, my word of the day and what I will remember for tomorrow. Followed by setting my goals/expectations for the day in a checklist form.

On my run I also thinking about how hard it was to be at home through those months, almost like a sense of feeling trapped. I’m guessing we also weakened our immune systems, we ate more, we drank more, didn’t get our daily dose of the feel good from moving with endorphins(GUILTY on a lot of days before things started to open up!) It all feels backwards some days. So, I guess what I’m trying to say with all of this is, YOU are in control of what you can control. Want to build a better immune system? Exercise, eat healthy and do something to better yourself mentally. Write what you’re thankful for, listen to an empowering podcast, read a book. Make your CHOICE to make a CHANGE. If you make the change to better yourself, you will better yourself. And my biggest advice is, don’t be afraid to ask for help from someone. It’s never easy to do something alone. And I don’t just mean with your fitness and nutrition. This means all aspects of your life. It can be easy to think you can do it all alone but eventually, I promise, you will break. I’ve been there. You have to lean on others as well. Challenge creates change and I can be with you every step of the way for all of your wellness goals. Sometimes all it takes is a step in the right direction or for monthly support. Each of us is different as to what we need as far as goals, as I always say, none of us have a one size fit wellness plan. Reach out to meet with me in person, online or just by text or email support. Don’t hesitate to ask for help, if you need it! There are so many options and routes we can take to make sure you’re living your best life and by not missing out on the things you love.

POSITIVE ENERGY is the best energy. With that, I will say I hope your Friday is off to a fabulous start! And enjoy this beautiful weather!

60 Hour Reboot//Control Cravings//Make a Change//Be your best self through crazy times//

Here it is, another Friday and many of you may have listened to our podcast the other day we posted about our 60 hour fast.

I want to give my complete perspective as well and also share information on the 60 hour keto reboot. There are so many questions asked and one of the main ones is:

Do you have to be on a keto diet to do the fast or even all of the ketones products?

No—it is not necessary. The products still aid with the fat burning, more energy, put you into ketosis within 60 minutes of a keto supplement, aid with brain fog and much more. The 60 hour reboot will reset your metabolism by reprogramming your genes to run on fat for fuel. Here are what is expected to happen during the reboot:

Maximize Energy: ENERGY is has been through the roof for me and I intend to hopefully continue to do the Reboot monthly.

Stay Accountable: The way Pruvit(the company who sells the Reboot) delivers the process is top notch. All science based info. They have groups and doctors who speak through the days of going through the reboot to make sure you’re staying on track. Also, it helps to have someone, friend, spouse, family member do it with you so that you can keep in touch and in those moments of weakness, it helps immensely!

Control Cravings: This has been HUGE! In those moments of hunger when I thought when I was able to eat again, I’d want complex carbs but then once the reboot has been over…I have had all whole foods, fish, steaks, veggies, nuts, protein shakes AND that is what I continue to crave! From Sunday-Wednesday morning I lost 4 pounds and then to today I lost a total of 6 pounds for the week and a total of 4.5 inches for the week.

Protect Lean Muscle Mass: Seriously, you can feel this. I feel so much more solid and my body has shaped so great this whole week. My workouts have felt better than ever! Sticking with the lower carb has been crucial. The inflammation is GONE!

Another concern I’ve gotten is, well, when I do a cleanse or detox, once I finish, I just binge and eat more and then I gain even more weight after. THIS will not make that happen, like I said, I have no cravings for bad food. This reboot did exactly what the science says it will, and I can’t promote this enough.

Like I said though, it will challenge you. My mornings until about 4:30 PM were fine and then the evenings when I was making the kids food would get tough but each day I pushed through and was able to go 66 hours of fasting.

If you’re interested in the science behind it more, click here to see videos and info on it. Since this blog post has become so long, I will touch base on what is recommended post reboot.

I also think with everything going in our nation. It’s important to be doing all the things that are going to keep us healthy. Sadly, I think a lot of people aren’t moving and eating healthy because there is so much more anxiety and stress(that’s a given). Like, I said in one of my blog posts, I got into the funk as well for a bit and it was starting to take over and be easier to make not the healthiest choices. I just want to let you all know that we’re all human at the end of the day and with the proper guidance and help, you can overcome anything and start living healthier and I’d love to help. Seeing alcohol sales way up through all this has been such an eye opener for me as well. Alcohol in itself can give you anxiety and affect your immune system. It’s so important to do your best with nutrition and exercise. I’m obviously not saying never drink alcohol or have a not the best choice food option but what has been proven is that, people aren’t just having the recommended 1-2 drinks or the one serving of the unhealthy option once a week, it’s way more and a lot of people’s daily habits. I want to help more people get on the right track as we are in a pandemic where we’re seeing healthy individuals having very minor symptoms and the vulnerable with compromised immune systems taking the virus much worse. Ask yourself….am I doing myself good by making better choices and at least moving and getting my heart rate up 3 days a week? As always, like I say every time, I understand that there is never a one size fits all approach. I am always eager and ready to help personalize each individual on your journey. We all start somewhere. Don’t have the mindset where you will never change or be able to make better choices, because YOU CAN! Let’s make the last almost two months of the year your best yet for your wellness! Thanks for reading and I hope everyone is well! If you need advice, support or an accountability partner, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Happy Friday and weekend!

Monday AM on the left to Wednesday AM on the right

Nutrition//Fitness//Building your Immune System//Challenge//

Happy Friday, everyone! Today I wanted to touch on how we can stay in control of our health if we just put forth effort daily to make better choices and get moving when we can.

Nutrition and fitness go hand in hand when done properly. And as always there is no one size fits all approach. We all have different goals, approaches that work and systems that keep us accountable and moving forward with success. When I was running this morning, I was thinking about how great it would be if we could share, promote and help others more about how to improve our immune systems and promote a healthier lifestyle. So many preventable issues just get fixed with a prescription drug and the problem is just masked. And this is by no means me saying that there isn’t a need for prescription drugs, because modern medicine is very amazing when needed! I’m curious how many people take vitamins and supplements to aid in their health? I’d love to get you setup with a personalized regimen to aid with keeping your immune system healthy. I’m talking about the things we can do to aid in keeping our immune systems healthy and our bodies as healthy as possible. Also, how is your sleep? That’s a huge factor in our bodies overall health as well. Taking the necessary steps for our health is so important.

I am officially 25 days in with no alcohol. My first goal is 30 days, but I have no intention to add it back in after 30 as of right now. I think what I noticed most through all of what is going on in the world is that it was so easy (for me) to have a couple drinks in the evening a couple times a week and now I just feel like I have 110% more energy for my workouts, to focus more on my nutrition and after a long day or the stressors of being a mom to 3, my stress relief isn’t having a glass or two of wine or a beer. I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts or watching a mom show when they’re sleeping. 😉 I do think it’s really important to note that I’m not 100% perfect every week and that is where balance comes in. I make sure I’m in check but I also do have higher carb days and I tend to balance my approach with a higher carb day followed by two lower carb then a higher carb day. I stay right around 75 carbs on my high carb day just because I am carb sensitive but like I always say, some people may have a lot more carbs and that’s why I can’t stress enough that each person has a different approach and there is no one size fits all approach to live a healthy lifestyle. I do not use the word diet, because I don’t ever intend to diet, I intend to continue to live a healthy balanced lifestyle!

So, my challenge to you is. Make small changes this weekend. Take a walk/jog, a hike, make a healthier choice, learn about supplements to aid in your immune system, read a book instead of scrolling through Facebook(as we know how painful that is these days) Do something for YOU! And as always, if you need some guidance, reach out, I’d love to help!

Thanks for following along! Enjoy the weekend!

I’m back//Fall Routine//Back to Basics//

It sure has been a while! It sure has been a while and I can’t believe I haven’t caught anyone up on what’s going but it feels like there was so just many uncertainties that life started slipping through the cracks and motivation would be up and down. BUT, I’m here to say as of last week, I’m back to feeling like my old motivated self again and I couldn’t be happier. My energy is back up and last week I took it as a slow approach back into the 80/20. My workouts have been consistent but I just wasn’t feeling 100% as I’m sure many of you can agree with all the uncertainties through these times, sometimes we have our moments and that is totally okay and normal! At the end of the day, all that matters is if you get back up and get back on track to reach those goals!

Getting back into a somewhat normal fall routine was our biggest goal. We went back and forth on what we were going to do with school and we decided to send Mallorie full time and she has been doing great and she’s so happy to be back with her friends and teachers.

This week, I decided to start journaling. I have to. I need to get back to the basics of what makes me feel like the best version of myself. After a week with no alcohol, pretty good food choices, I feel like I’m on top of the world so with starting to journal and get back to basics, I can’t imagine where my energy will sky rocket to! And I always says it’s about balance, for sure but in this moment in life I need to get back to basics because I wasn’t really following any sort of meal plan or even tracking anything I was eating, and you know what that’s okay sometimes but I wasn’t feeling the best and that’s a strong indicator that you need to make a change for the better.

So, I’m officially 12 days into getting back to basics and 5 days into journaling. I’m feeling great. My workouts have been able to amp up with the extra energy I have. My sleep has been 95% better than it was and my motivation is back. I decided to give up alcohol for a month just to reset and cleanse my system. I’m officially 11 days in with that, and I plan to just take 30 days and reevaluate how I feel. I do enjoy my red wine and beers once in a while but it just felt like the right time to take it out as I am really honing in on my journaling for 12 weeks and with a new fall routine it just seems fitting. In the fitness and nutrition world it is definitely never a once size fits everyone approach and that’s why it’s so crucial to find a plan and life balance that works for you.

TM Fitness is off to a great first couple months and we can’t thank everyone enough for all of your support. It’s work(but fun) and busy but it’s so rewarding and we’re lucky to be able to help and guide so many of you.

The kiddos, Mallorie like I said is loving 1st grade and we’re lucky she is back at school with her friends and teachers. She really missed that aspect through all of this and we’re happy she is happy. She is definitely the big sister and tends to boss the other two around when they’re doing things they shouldn’t. She has a heart of gold and is still very much a daddy’s girl!

Makenzie is going to preschool two days a week and has always given us the hardest time. She is by far the strongest willed one and definitely makes us test our patience on a daily basis. She is definitely a mother hen as well as she always is playing with a baby or trying to take care of Tucker.

Tucker has really shown us his personality and he definitely is the most mischievous. He throws just about everything, he carries a stool around the kitchen and climbs on things he shouldn’t just to reach something he shouldn’t have and when you catch him, he throws it. He likes to growl at us. But he sure loves to give kisses and hugs. He’s a cuddler when he wants to be but is independent when he plays.

We have done a great job keeping the balance in life and the kiddos love coming to the gym and helping us out or playing.

It’s so hard to believe we are already coming up to the last three months of the year. I feel like March to August was basically blur. I’m sure a lot of you can relate! I hope everyone is enjoying fall so far. My goal is to blog once a week again and get back to sharing recipes, nutrition tips and more!! I’m planning to bring you along on my 12 week journaling process and I hope I can be of motivation to others to make healthier choices, exercise and be the best version of themselves. As always, it’s not always easy, but it’s so worth it!!

Have a great Friday, everyone!

As always, thanks for following along!

Mallorie, Makenzie & Tucker

Travis’ Journey//Our Goals//We did it//Create your own happiness//Proud//

It has been a journey but seeing Travis, someone so passionate about their fitness/wellness career has been amazing to see unfold.

We always intended to open our own business for private training & nutritional consulting someday. Covid wasn’t all that negative I guess, it gave us the opportunity to not wait any longer, and here we are. I can’t say the process has been easy but we decided to do it and we are doing it!!

In moments of struggle, sometimes the most beautiful things happen and things fall into place. We fortunately have been able to start our own business (finally, together) and it’s been challenging, yet wonderful! TM Fitness is here, and we’re here for the long haul!

Travis is passionate and so great at what he does. He has a niche and he’ll often say, “it’s not like work to me because I love what I do so much.” It’s like he was destined to always do this. He is also a great at helping me see things through his visions, even though they aren’t done yet. He often has to ether draw on a piece of paper or outline ideas of what he is talking about for me so I can see exactly what we’re going to do because I need visuals because unlike him, I can’t just “see” things. There have been many plans and decisions being made, so he has had plenty of “drawing” opportunities.

Through Covid, we were together a lot more and honestly, initially I was scared because that was always my biggest excuse about opening our own business. I don’t know if I could work with you because we have in the past (obviously) and it worked out better for us to not work together as that was all we talked about at home. But then it turned into something totally different. We ended up realizing, it was us, our environment, we create what WE WANT. That’s a whole new ball game and I couldn’t be more excited to be on this adventure with him.

I’m the business back side of this whole operation for now and I’m completely ok with that. I went to college for Health Information, so I have the business background and am also able to design and create things for our new business. And at the end of the day, it all just feels so surreal and finally being able to make our dream, a reality. Above all this, it has been crucial to continue to get my workouts in that I love so much and have been able to continue to guide people with their own fitness and nutrition plans. As things continue to grow, I am excited to announce that I am going to be able to add more hours into my schedule for more clients! Stay tuned for my own personal launch!

But for now, cheers, people! We did it!! 🙌🏼💪🏼

TM Fitness is ready to help and guide you to becoming the best version of yourself!

This blog post has taken me a while to post//Real life//It’s okay to feel//

I have been getting so many messages about how I’m doing and I truly appreciate that and so I’ve also been trying to reach out to people as well and of course when people reach out to me I always ask how they are doing as well. The first part of this quarantine was pretty good. The next phase has been very different and I feel like sometimes I don’t even know who I am or what I should be doing from day to day but what helps me every day are my kids and Travis. We are healthy, we are happy for the most part as I’m sure everyone feels, we all have our moments. I do not want to get political but I feel like the risk of spreading this is minimal in comparison to what the mental challenges and minimized human interaction we’re facing.

I still count calories (for the most part)and I always do but I feel like that has had no direct effect right now on as far as how I feel or how I look right now. I always have a vision of what I want to achieve and look like through each season and goals but I just feel like there’s been so much stress and anxiety built up that all we can do is do our best! I feel pretty good but not at my best but I know once we can be out and about again, things will change! I am missing those hot days already as these last couple days have been kind of cold! But of course today is HOT AND HUMID! We have to love the unpredictability of the UP weather!

Mallorie’s learning app has been a challenge and one day she actually told me that she wishes I would just take her iPad away so she didn’t have to do her learning app anymore. I do notice though, once she is willing to do assignments, she doesn’t want to stop, it’s just getting her to start. The challenging part can be when I’m trying to do it with her and the other two need me or Tucker wants to sit with us and then he is banging his fingers on her iPad! She did a zoom call with her class once and she looked over at me the entire time and she was asking me with her eyes to just shut it off. She’s had two zoom calls since then and she gets super anxious and says “please, mom just don’t make me do it” and she cries. Am I supposed to make her do it? No, I don’t think so, so I don’t.

Anyways, I don’t want this to be a blog post about complaining as I’m always positive but I think through all this I’ve learned that I NEED to be out and about, I need to have contact with other adults, I need to just be able to take my kids out and about(even if 99% of the time I struggle with keeping them in line but that’s part of the process) I need to workout somewhere else besides home because it’s just not the same! THIS TOO SHALL PASS! That’s what I keep telling myself…..there is so much to be thankful for but I am more than ready to feel free again. How is everyone doing?

Also, running. I miss having the excitement to train when there’s a race coming up. I feel like I’ve been off my game with that but I’ve at least ran once a week but not the distances I would be running with the marathon coming up in June. This all just seems so unfair! But lets hope for a HUGE fall of races or 2021 will be on point.

As always, thanks for following along and you all are SO appreciated!

Clean Eating//Detox//Motivation & More

Last week was all about staying clean and on track. Saving a glass of wine/beer(or a couple) for the weekend. It was time to focus in a bit more, again. My workouts have stayed consistent but there were some extra carbs I was having in the evening and if anyone remembers, I’m very carb sensitive. So, I just had some bloating I knew I needed to tackle.

I did the three day green smoothie(Gundry, MD) for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then I implemented my normal shake with two meals of meat/veggies and then nuts for a snack if I got too hungry. I will share my results below, as far as inches gone down and pictures of my results.

I also have been doing three packs of ketones a day(up one from my normal two) just for ten days. Ketones are a huge mood booster in the morning for me and really level me out(even better than coffee) but I still love my coffee!

We’ve gotten into more of a flow through this time, Mallorie had online school activities start last week and she did a really great job with them and we’re trying to take time for myself or Travis to spend more time with her to be one on one for activities too. It’s also crucial to get them outside to blow off some steam! We do notice that doing her activities in the earlier part of the day is definitely crucial because she is more interested at those times. I keep reminding myself that we can only do what we can and we can’t let it stress us out when we don’t always get to a ton. Because each day is so different and each kids needs change from day to day and we still need to make sure we are taking care of ourselves.

My motivation is always there for a workout and I feel like I’m in a good flow of my workouts at home, again! I do enjoy when I can get them done while Travis has a little time for me to just solely get it done!

Tucker has taken four-five steps at a time and loves to climb on everything. Kenzie tends to knock him over or hug him when he stands up. I don’t think it’ll be long now until he’s walking, he does need a haircut, but I’m just not ready! It’s hard to believe we’ve been home for 46 days. It definitely hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve gotten into a pretty good routine. I’m just more excited to get out and go see family and friends, go on a date, be able to walk around stores and go have a beer and dinner in a restaurant AND go on a trip with my kids or without my kids. There’s so much we take for granted and I’m never ever going to take those things for granted, ever again!

Here are my results. This was from Monday morning to Friday morning. Overall I lost 4 inches and 2 of that was from my waist!

Here is link to the recipe for the green smoothie, if you have any questions, feel free to message me!

As always, thanks for following along!

Staying Home//Organization//Being Positive//Normalcy//It’s okay to feel//and More//

Last week went pretty well! Monday I spent time: organizing the pantry, cupboards and drawers. We also have been doing worksheets, projects, and various other activities with the girls through the day. Honestly, just like a nutrition/workout plan, you get in the routine after 21 days give or take. This is day 33 for us staying home. When school was closed on Friday, March 13th that’s when the girls, myself and Tucker really have stayed in since besides being outside, on walks and Travis has been our grocery guy when I can’t schedule a pick up order. I miss my routine more than anything and the hustle of being on schedule.

We’ve been doing fun science experiments, lots of art, dress up and a lot of things but Mallorie misses school and Kenzie says, “Mom, am I going to school or tot watch today?” And she’s most definitely our home body. And I get we need to stay safe.

I literally have organized almost every cupboard in our kitchen, put stuff in cupboards and spaces where we can make the most of our space. I’m not going to lie, I do miss having someone clean our house every other week, deep cleaning is not my jam and cleaning in general is not my jam, never has been.

Travis put in our basement flooring that we bought about a month ago and he did an amazing job, he also bought the doors and trim last week via online order and picked it up. Transforming that space has been so helpful for our family for another space to be together or even separate because we all know we need our separation 🤪 Being together in a house even utilizing school hours and doing worksheets, school based things with the kids there is still A LOT of down so moments can be tough because sometimes we’re all on our last nerve.

On a positive note there are things I’m grateful for for sure, like organizing, making my life a little easier but with all this that’s how life is, you do what you can when you can and I think it’s crucial to make time to do things like organizing and spring cleaning each year. Which I do every year anyway, obviously not ever all in one day!

I’m looking forward to the future, I know life will not go back directly to our previous “normal” obviously, I think we are all aware of that. And it will be different. But it will be nice to get back to somewhat normalcy. I am completing my workouts at home and running but I do miss the gym for sure, but I know this is only a moment in time so all will be ok! I think through all this I feel mostly bad when I feel like I can’t get my mind off anything and I feel bad for feeling because I know a lot of people have it way worse and I feel so anxious as to what’s next, because the unknown is scary. And especially last week, on Tuesday I woke up with neck pain that ended up radiating to my back and by Tuesday night I couldn’t even lift my head off the pillow because I was in so much pain. I think I just slept funny. Travis helped me majorly but I still was in pain Wednesday/Thursday and I kept thinking of how I won’t want to go to the doctor because I feel like I can’t because of the virus, which is a sucky feeling too, you don’t want to put anyone at risk or yourself but we’re still going to have other issues and right now, we’re so corona virus focused that it just consumes us no matter if we try to not let it. But after lots of care and movement from Travis I was able to be back 100% by Thursday afternoon. I feel like I could go on and on about how I’m feeling but you know, we all have our own opinions and I respect everyone 100% and something my grandma always told me, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all. That’s why on posts I don’t agree on, I just keep scrolling because it’s not my place to trash talk and also, we’ll never get anywhere because the argument will just go back and forth so I save my time to spend more time with the kids and focus on the positive.

I’ve been cooking more than usual which is fun too! Like I keep saying there are definitely positives to the whole situation as well. Here’s the taco sweet potato boats I made last week. Click here for the recipe. I did replace ground turkey for ground beef because that’s what we had!

I hope you’re all doing well! As always, I’m always willing to be an ear if you need to talk, or have questions. I’ve leaned on a fair share of family and friends through this time as well. Three kids at home, not able to bring them anywhere to blow off steam or different scenery besides our house and walks, it’s trying on them and trying on us as parents. Some days are really hard, others are great, just know that I don’t judge anyone who wants to just scream some days, let it out. Don’t feel bad for FEELING!

Have a great Tuesday!
